Welcome to your Step-by-Step guide to the AVA ID2.0
We create this product with you and your customers in mind to make your journey as smooth and as secure as possible.

Initiating Verification

First, you need to log in to the Portal using your credentials. Make sure AVA ID is installed and ready to use. Go to the Leads page and choose the lead you want to initiate the ID check for.

On the lead page, choose one of the left-sided boxes that says ID Verification.

The start screen should appear. If you want to send an SMS to your lead to verify their ID, press Send button. The Popup window should open.

In case if you want to send a link in a separate Email or via another messenger, press Copy Link. The link to the Verification flow will be saved to your clipboard so you can paste it into a new message.

In the opened popup window, make sure the information is displayed correctly. Make changes to the message template to your liking. Note, that the template will be saved for the next message once you hit the Send SMS button.

Customer Actions

Your customer will receive a message similar to:

"Dear OurFavorite Dealership customer, we require government ID verification. Click https://TheBestUrlForID.ai to upload your ID now. Reply 'STOP' to opt out."

Only thing your customer needs to do is to follow our instructions. You will receive notification as soon as your consumer completes the full verification flow.

Monitoring Progress

Track the verification progress in your AVA ID portal. You'll see one of these statuses:

  • Verified: ID successfully authenticated.

  • Pending: Verification in progress.

  • Fraud Alert: Potential fraudulent activity detected.

    We will display all the reasons why the ID was flagged to give you a full picture of the verification process.

AVA ID allows you to explore details about individual verification's checks whose high-level metrics are displayed on the Checks page. To learn more about each Check, please follow to the page.

Interpreting Results

Let's have a look in what different statuses mean in our system:

Verified Status

  • Proceed with the transaction confidently.

  • Download the one-page PDF summary for your records and to include in the funding package for lenders.

Pending Status

  • Wait for the status to change before proceeding with sensitive transaction steps.

  • If pending for an extended period, contact AVA ID support for assistance.

Fraud Alert Status

  • Review the detailed report provided in the portal.

  • Consider requesting additional verification from the customer.

  • Consult with your management or AVA ID support on next steps.

Best Practices

  1. Always use the Full Verification Plan for high-value transactions or when required by lenders.

  2. Regularly check the AVA ID portal for status updates on pending verifications.

  3. Include the verification PDF in all funding packages sent to lenders to demonstrate your commitment to fraud prevention.

  4. Train all relevant staff on interpreting AVA ID results and handling potential fraud alerts.

Troubleshooting

If customers report issues with the verification process:

Ensure they're using a compatible mobile device and have a stable internet connection.

Advise them to use good lighting when taking photos of their ID and selfies.

If problems persist, contact AVA ID support for assistance.
