What Is Lead Score?

Lead Score represents the percentage likelihood that a lead will close, calculated from actual conversion trends across the AVA network.

If a lead has a 10%+ close rate, it is flagged as a “hot lead” with a 🔥 icon in the lead list and in lead notification emails.

Why This Lead Is Hot

We use multiple factors to determine a lead’s close rate:

Key Scoring Criteria:

  1. Multiple Applications Submitted

Leads that complete both credit and trade applications show high buying intent. These convert significantly higher than leads that complete only one form.

  2. Strong Credit Profile

Credit scores in the 700–725 range with clean payment history lead to faster approvals—and higher likelihood of closing.

  3. Active Shopping Signals

Recent interactions (e.g., visiting multiple dealership sites or resubmitting applications) suggest the buyer is ready to make a decision soon.

💡 Pro Tip: Leads who pull credit are 17x more likely to close. Reaching out within the first 20 minutes delivers the best results.

Where You’ll See Lead Score

  • Leads Table in AVA Portal:

A “Close Rate” column shows each lead’s likelihood to close (%), with 🔥 for 10%+.

  • Lead Detail Pop-Up (“Why This Lead is Hot”):

See a breakdown of why the lead scored high—based on real behaviors and buyer signals.

  • Lead Notification Emails:

High-scoring leads show 🔥 in the subject line and include the close rate in the body.

💬 Common Questions

Q: What if a lead has no score?

Some leads won’t have enough data to generate a score. These are still valid and actionable, but not yet ranked.

Q: Is this customizable?

Currently, scoring logic and thresholds are standardized across AVA. Custom thresholds may be added in a future release.

Q: Does this change how we route leads?

No. Routing rules remain the same—this just gives your team better visibility.

Best Practices

  • Start your day by scanning for 🔥 leads

  • Sort leads by Close Rate to prioritize follow-up

  • Use the “Why This Lead is Hot” modal for context during calls

  • Pair this with multi-product AVA leads (Credit + Trade) for the strongest close rates
